Part-Time Receptionist
We are seeking a friendly and organized Part-Time Receptionist to join our team at The Pup Place. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing outstanding customer service, managing appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. This role requires a passion for dogs and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage client inquiries regarding services and bookings.
Assist with client check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Administrative Duties:
Schedule and confirm daycare appointments, training sessions, and other services.
Maintain client records and update information in the management system.
Process payments and handle cash, credit card transactions, and invoicing.
Facility Support:
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
Monitor inventory of office supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
Collaborate with daycare staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Client Communication:
Provide clients with updates on their pets’ activities and well-being during their stay.
Address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Promote additional services and products to clients.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for pets and clients.
Assist with managing and documenting any incidents or emergencies.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in animal care is a plus.
Experience:
Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred.
Experience working with animals, particularly dogs, is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency with computers and basic office software (e.g., MS Office, scheduling systems).
Personal Attributes:
Passionate about working with dogs and providing exceptional customer service.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Positive attitude and ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
Working Conditions:
Part-time hours, typically including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to loud noises and animal odors.
Must be comfortable around dogs of various sizes and temperaments.
